Our bright future es el octavo disco de Tracy Chapman, un álbum de 11 canciones grabado en Los Angeles, y co-producido por Larry Klein (Herbie Hancock, Joni Mitchell, Madeleine Peyroux).

Después de grabar el álbum, Chapman preparó su viaje a Europa para su primera gira en solitario desde hacía una década. Al verla sola al frente del escenario recordamos por qué nos enamoró inmediatamente veinte años atrás. Our Bright Future, con sus interrogantes, sus desafíos y sus esperanzas de un futuro mejor, ilustra perfectamente el porqué siempre regresamos al origen.
