Description

This is one the most “adult” animated films by Pixar starting from Up. It’s a story about passing childhood and about people who part with it without any regrets and therefore have no heart; and about people who cannot part with it at all therefore becoming losers and looking as people with no head. Pixar managed to tell a serious adult story using such elements as toys. For children it’s a simple adventure story while adults see far more serious topic of becoming grown-ups and the tragic impossibility to live careless happy lives any more. This part shows Andy becoming a young man and starting a new adult life, the first stage of which is leaving for studying at college. He doesn’t need his toys any more but still cannot leave behind all the memories of happy moments spent together. Despite Andy’s unwillingness to part with the toys his mother decides to give them to the kindergarten where kids do not appreciate the toys. So, they have only one way out: they should escape and find Andy to bring them back home.
