That's It

When Michael Jackson was telling his fans about his concert tour which was due to take place, he said “This is it. It’s the final curtain call”. But unfortunately the final one came sooner. And all we have now is just a documentary film. And it has nothing to do with what I thought it would be. I didn't see a man exhausted with drugs, illness and concerts. I saw a person inspired with music! It was another Michael Jackson.
The base of the film is records from his rehearsals which took place from April to June 2009 – he was getting ready for the tour. It is said that this data was shoot by few cameras. But what we can see is video with good picture and high-quality sound. So you can imagine this is the best documentary you can ever hear or watch.
And even more. This is true Michael Jackson that disguises all the gossip about his being unable to give concerts. Nor could I see any hint of his being spoilt with people’s attention. And it’s a real luck to see him work in real (even if captured by several cameras), not just small videos. It gives a full picture of what the concert could have been, and what Michael Jackson people could have seen.
Being very polite and gentle with his group, he spoke always in a low voice. Together with his director Kenny Ortega, he ran the process, too. He corrected something, thought over the screen, imagined dances and the show itself. Looking at him as a common viewer, before I thought he was a working machine, but now I know he was the creator.
Actually we never know how he managed to do it. But “This is it” proved it was him who did it. And he didn’t do a bad turn to his group, because he was totally ready to perform. Michael and Kenny Ortega (one of the film makers) were doing success. And the touching moment of shaking hands all together after one of the rehearsals is just a great one. But the concert was never held…
That’s it…
