A screen adaptation of Nick Hornby's novel "Long drop" will be the debut of French director Pascal Shomel in English-language cinema. The project is rapidly gaining speed: a few weeks ago, Pierce Brosnan and Toni Collette have roles in the film, and now they are joined by Emile Hirsch.

The novel develops in London New Year's Eve. On the roof of the flats of several people. They are different but they share one thing: they want to take their hateful lives.
